About the Author

Father Joseph breighner continues to write a weekly column on religion and life for The Catholic Review newspaper. His weekly half-hour radio show, Country Roads is nationally syndicated. He travels extensively offering workshops, recollection meetings, and weekend retreats. Ordained in 1971, he served as a parish minister for six years and then as the Coordinator of Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Currently he is working as a pastoral counselor and spiritual director.
