A lot of people went out and bought this cd after watching the movie, but probably not because of Percy Sledge. Unfortunately, that's about all you get. The orchestral pieces are great background music, but are strangely prioritized for the soundtrack in the place of Michael Stipe and Rickie Lee Jones. For everyone going crazy trying to find out what songs are missing from the soundtrack, I hope this helps:

REM sings "Everybody Hurts". It's a great song and it's a shame that it's not on this album, since it's part of a defining moment in the movie.

I thought this was an emotionally stirring movie and the soundtrack was equally moving. But there was so much more music in the movie that I was hoping and expecting to have if I bought the soundtrack. I suppose the keywords were "Music from" The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. I was very disappointed in what was missing.
