It's all about choices December 24, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
"When one door closes" is a compilation of three short stories about the choices people make, their consequences and how they respond to them. Ms. Wade has invited us into their lives at various points of growth and challenge. Just when you think you can settle in, Ms. Wade shakes us out of our comfort zones and gives us an even greater dose of reality.
The book had a few typographical errors that can distract from your experience of the story. I felt I was reading a writer who will get better and better over time. Her talent is already apparent. This was the first book of hers I have read and I will purchase the others I see she has published.
I must amend my review to say that the book includes six stories. I only received three on my Kindle. I'm sorry I missed the last three. Hopefully you will get to enjoy them.

Life Is Not A Fairy Tale March 9, 2012

The short stories in When One Door Closes by Ey Wade are based on reality. My favorite story is the last one. I hate to know there are angry men without conscience who are willing to hurt women physically and emotionally. Sandy really goes through extreme conditions once this man decides he doesn't want to be married any longer. He decides to take the baby, Marissa, from Sandy. I think this is the worse kind of hurt any woman can experience. All of a sudden your baby is gone. Thankfully, Sandy's parents stick by her side. I realized while reading all of these stories the importance of a support system for all women. I do hate that men can drive a woman to almost commit a crime that will lead to prison time. What happened in this instance? I won't tell. Hope to read more stories by Ey Wade. ey-wade

These short stories were easy to read except when the characters were called by a totally different name they had on the page before. Fast paced with a little mystique kept me reading.

Each story piqued and held my interest to the end. Good job!
