When the Pipers Play is a nostalgic review that brings truth to the old saying, "I pity the man who hears the pipes and wasn't born in Scotland." As an expatriot Scot, it stirred my blood and brought a tear to my eye. To see these brave, brave men speaking of their experiences and to realize just what the pipes means to the British military, especially the Scottish Regiments, made me so proud indeed. An excellent video and a must for anyone with even a drop of Scottish blood.

A charming history of the pipes. This movie will be emotionaly stiring for anyone who is a lover of bagpipes from around the world. With lovely scenery of Scotland, and grand images of pipers forging their musical skills, this movie might even bring a tear to your eye.

This film will appeal to anyone who is interested in the music of the Great Highland Bagpipe. Slainte!

I highly recommend this video to anyone who loves bagpipes. The photography is excellent, the speakers moving, there is history to be learned--and some tears to be shed. What an awesome instrument the bagpipe is and how awesome too are some of the people who have played it. The soundtrack is also worth purchasing! It helped my Christmas shopping this year.
