From Publishers Weekly

Banks ably portrays a large cast of empathetic characters and develops three romantic threads in her second single-title romance (after Some Girls Do). The most admirable of these characters is heroine Delilah Montague, a brassy, self-made woman who moved from shampoo girl to executive director at the ritzy Spa DeMay by virtue of her smarts and charm. Her friendship with Howard Bradford, the Texas millionaire who owned the spa, didn't hurt either, but now that her benefactor is dead, she must prove herself to her employees and to Howard's daughter, Lilly. At the same time, she must cope with her attraction to gorgeous attorney Benjamin Huntington II, appease a blackmailer and cope with a baby who's thrust upon her by one of Howard's old acquaintances. When Delilah isn't trading quips with Benjamin-who comes from a wealthy family and is therefore, she thinks, out of her league-she's doling out advice to her assistant, Sara, or clashing with Lilly, who plans to marry Benjamin's brother, Robert. These secondary characters are surprisingly fleshed out, but the intrigue subplot, involving an easily thwarted blackmailer, is flimsy. The romantic conflicts are familiar (wrong-side-of-the-tracks woman meets well-off man; divorcee falls for younger man, etc.), but that won't keep readers from enjoying Banks's zesty, dialogue-driven tale.

From Booklist

Banks, queen of the sexy feel-good contemporary romance, is at the top of her game with this tale of Houston spa owner Delilah Montague and attorney Benjamin Huntington. Having trouble sleeping in the month after her best friend and benefactor, a powerful businessman, died, Delilah has come to hate her unknown neighbor who practices home improvement projects all night long. Benjamin has just returned to Houston after losing his fiancee when he quit a high-profile law firm instead of compromising his values. Delilah, convinced that others think of her as white trash, doesn't want anything to do with Benjamin because of his upper-class roots and the fact that his brother may be marrying her not-so-silent and quite antagonistic partner. A baby, a blackmailer, and sizzling sex are involved in bringing them together. Fans of Katie, the star in Banks' Some Girls Do [BKL F 15 03], will enjoy meeting Delilah, Katie's half-sister, and will eagerly await the next in the series, which feature their younger half-sister, Lori. 4.0 out of 5 stars Ms. Banks Is Back With Another Good Read!!!, February 17, 2004
We briefly met Delilah Montague in Ms. Banks first book "Some Girls Do" now she has her own story and it's just as good as the previous read and cominbed laughs, romance, mystery and quirky characters into a very entertaining read.

Delilah has a bad girl reputation but at heart she is really a nice girl who keeps her promises and eventually these promises get her into trouble. After the death of her friend Cash she promises that she will look out for his daughter Lilly, run the spa, and keep his secret about their personal life. Delilah never slept with Cash. Now all of her good intentions backfire on her. She is now responsible for Lilly which is turning out to be a spoiled brat, a new baby that is really Cash's, and now a blackmailer to boot. If all of this is not enough she is drawn to her nextdoor neighbor Benjamin Huntingdon who just so happens to be a member of one of the prominate local families. Problem is he makes her feel things that she knows is not in the best interest of him and his family.

Ben has just come back home after leaving on the East Coast and he has lost everything that he once thought was important. Then he meets his neighbor after she saves his bacon and he re-thinks the way he sees people and his place in life. He has now found the perfect woman for him, now he just has to prove to her that he is willing to spend his life with Dee despite her "bad-girl" image.

This book was very fun to read. Ms. Banks has a real talent for creating quirky likeable characters and at the same time not loosing sight of the plot of the story or the path that her characters take. Again she manages to create some nice secondary charcters and both couples really add to the telling of the story at the same time having their own storylines that are fun to read. Ms. Banks is a great author and you will be guaranteed an fun read if you pick up one of her stories

5.0 out of 5 stars Chase the Chills w/ Heart-warming, Body-Heating Book, November 19, 2003
By
"When She's Bad" is popular author Leanne Banks' single title follow-up to her sexy, touching romance, "Some Girls Do." When She's Bad features spa director Delilah Montague, a strong, appealing heroine who butts heads with wealthy lawyer Benjamin Huntington. Ben appreciates Delilah's physical attributes but also recognizes her goodness and character. His campaign to win her heart through kindness and romance makes the book a great read. As an added bonus, Banks has included two other romances featuring four well-developed secondary characters. And each chapter begins with a "Delilah's Dictum," a memorable axiom by which the heroine lives (e.g., "Word to the wise: Don't go into a catfight with long hair and acrylic nails. You'll lose both.") Banks' witty dialogue, hot love scenes, and heart-warming storyline make this a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love another great Leanne Banks book!, November 8, 2003
For anyone who has ever laughed and cried and loved a Leanne Banks book, don't miss this one!
Yes, like her wonderful Silhouette Desires this book is hot. But that's one of the things that makes Leanne's books so great! There's a tough heroine that learns to be a little softer when a baby and a hunk show up in her life. Funny and heart-warming! And do NOT miss Deliah's Dictums! Fabulous and worth reprinting by themselves!
Hooray for Leanne! She's done it again!
