My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer recently and I was searching for a book on how I should deal with this. This book was helpful, informative and gave me a start on what to do next. It gives you 9 chapters ranging from "Meeting the Enemy: The 6 most common cancers", to side effects, the healing power of hope, and coping with death. It is similar to a guide and I would recommend it to anyone. The chapters are well written and easy to understand.

I got this book because a close friend is dying from ovarian cancer. It is very helpful, although it is meant more for people directly providing care or spouses.
Unfortunately many of us will experience losing a close person to this disease in our lifetimes. This book helped me know how to help and what feeling I may be experiencing. |
