There is indeed some very nice environmental design in these pages, but the translations into English (from what, I don't know) are not only filled with mistakes, but difficult to get much out of. I was hoping (judging the book by the cover) that this would be a volume with smart essays and thoughtful, precise interpretations of the pictured work. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a lot of substance here, or, if there is, it's lost in translation. With this type of work especially, much of which is high-concept or at least defies being captured by a few photos, good text is essential to understanding. I can always just excuse it as a quaint little oddity that probably lacked the budget for proper copy, but I can't help being disappointed in Maximum Glitz, Minimum Substance.

nice iamgas, but i expected more technical stuff also. But the book is beautiful and works as a good reference book
