This review is from: When Sun-tzu met Clausewitz: the OODA Loop and the invasion of Iraq (Kindle Edition)
I am presently researching a longer paper on John Boyd, and specifically on how he would have advised us to proceed in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was of course a fighter pilot, an aggressive man, and he therefore favored the offensive--not the counterinsurgent but the insurgent. He did however have interesting things to say about blitzkrieg and counter-blitz, and I hope to extrapolate from that.
Later: okay, the work is done. I've now combined this paper with my MA dissertation, and expanded on them. The paperback edition is available from CreateSpace: A Vision So Noble: John Boyd, the OODA Loop, and America's War on Terror. The digital version will be ready soon. Later: okay, here it is: A Vision So Noble. Blue skies! -- Dan Ford |
