About the Author
Kenn Nesbitt wrote his first children's poem, "Scrawny, Tawny Skinner," in 1994, inspired by having dinner with a friend whose four-year-old daughter did everything she could to get out of eating her dinner! Since then, Kenn has written five books of humorous children's poetry. His poems have been included in many anthologies of humorous children's poetry, including
If Kids Ruled the School and
No More Homework! No More Tests!, on audio CDs and in textbooks. His poems have also been featured on the TV show
Jack Hanna's Wildlife Adventures on The Family Channel. His website Poetry4kids.com is the number 2 website for children's poetry. Kenn lives in Spokane, WA with his wife and two children.
Mike Gordon has illustrated all of the Robin Hill School books, but his work covers a truly wide range, extending from educational and non-fiction books to entertainment and fiction. Mike's illustration now includes both design and illustration for major publishers such as Harper Collins, Headline, Ladybird, Longman, Penguin, Random Century, Reed International, Simon & Schuster, Walker Books, Western Publishing and Wayland. The international publication of many of the titles illustrated by Mike means his work is seen in over eighteen countries. In addition, Mike has produced more than 400 humorous greeting card designs for clients such as Hallmark, as well as the major UK companies, Hanson White and Gordon Fraser. He lives with his family in Santa Barbara, California.
