I have been looking for help on how to raise my 2 very young children knowing that sex is wonderful when it comes at the right time. RIGHT being the operative word. I found the scriptural references to be solid in their interpretation, and their knowledge about how sex fits in earthly life to be just what we parents need. They suggest teaching children about their sexuality as early as possible so as to avoid embarrasing "talks" that come when it's too late (Most kids learn about sex in school before they learn from their parents). I especially liked their assertations that any kind of sexual activity that deviates from what God has set forth is wrong. IE: homosexuality, sex before marriage, etc. Every type of Christian, Jew or other religious person would be well advised to use this book in teaching their children how their bodies are sacred, special, and sexual.

The Jones take the issue of sex and explain why it is important to cover this with our children. As a dad with three daughters, I have to admit how difficult it is to talk to them about this, but I want to be the one who does and not the media, their friends, or ??? It's not necessarily a book you have to read, one step at a time, but the chapters are fairly well labeled, so you can feel free to skip around and read the chapters that are most pertinent to your situation. The approach they take is conservative, and they sometimes give several possibilities regarding issues that are not just black and white. Overall, I recommend all Christian parents read this and at least entertain the ideas given. Whatever method is chosen, the most important thing we can do is something rather than nothing at all.

This is an excellent resourse full of practical tips and methods to inform/teach the younger generation about this all important topic. It provides a clear, concise, Godly aspect to the topic! For those who are not of either the Judeo or Christian faith, do not be turned off by the Godly aspect. If you want your children to grow up an enter into marriage with a healthy/positive attitude about sex, this and the God's Design for Sex series are the tools for you. This book is not an easy read. It will require some thought and some time. I'd classify it as a training manual - no pictures, just thought provoking, solid, useful and usable information.

This and the companion childrens books will be Christmas gifts for the young families on our Christmas list.

As a catholic mom, I found this book to be an excellent starting point in forming my own thoughts about sex before trying to talk about it to my kids. I love how the authors talk about "inoculating" your children against the damaging messages that the culture will be giving them about sex. I also appreciate how they advise how to talk about it at the different age levels. I have read and re-read this book and I will continue to do so.

I highly recommend this book to any parent who is seeking a practical guide to mold their child's sexual views and character. I found the book insightful and helpful with age-appropriate dialog, biblical prespectives, and addressing relivant topics such as homosexuality. I can see this becoming a valuable resource as my children grow.

Great book for parents. One that all parent should purchase and use for themselves and their kids.

I absolutely love this book. I love its Christian approach to explaining sex to your children. It has helped me to begin the conversation with my 7 year old. It is a must have!

must get this book if you're struggling w/ forming your words or approach to talking w/ your kids. they cover elementary, prepubescent, & teenage years. Additionally, how to deal w/ gender confusion and how to explain homosexuality.

The perfect book for Christian families. A great read and usable tips to help kids develop positive sexuality.I found it useful also as I counsel parents on talking to their kids. I'ld recommend it to anyone.

This is a wonderful book. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is interested in educated their children about the Christian value on sex.
