Good songs but bad transfer,

This review is from: When Tragedy Struck (Audio CD)
The actual quality of the material is good. The problem is that for 1959, when this was recorded on RCA, the transfer quality is very poor. There is some distortion and it has a MUDDY sound to it. As with some of the JIM REEVES releases, if it is not from RCA or has BMI written somewhere on the CD, you should stay away from it. Also I think that when this CD was released by RCA is was on the LIVING STEREO format. This recording is DEAD MONO. My advise is wait for another release of it.
