I had first herd this album when I was growing up and it was an actual album. Getting it on CD was a must. You know when something is funny when it was released in 1970 and still is funny. This is a true classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Cosby's humor is that of good, clean fun and it very much pertains to us even now. I highly recommend it.

I HAD THIS ON AN LP WHEN I WAS A KID AND JUST LOVED IT. IT HAS BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES

Originally released in 1971 this is another of those albums that you can pick up with confidence. Confidence in the quality of the humour, confidence in the fact you'll be able to play it in front of your grandmother and confidence that you should be able to find it for a good price.

The routine here mainly centres around the adventures of Cosbys childhood and the characters he created like Old Weird Harold and Fat Albert. As such the connectivity is two-fold. Firstly we are reminded of stupid things we did ourselves and our mates of the time. Secondly because Fat Albert and to a lesser extent the other characters are pretty much cultural icons you are surrounded by a warm fug inside when you hear adventures involving them.

This reissue (2005) of the album onto CD is timely as it's really past time the whole catalogue was available in the more modern format. Secondly this reissue is blessed with useful liner notes from Scott Schinder that puts the album in some sort of perspective for the listener coming at this material from almost four decades later.

In short, this is an album that you should pick up if you get the opportunity to flesh out your Cosby collection.

I remember this from back in the 70's. I have it on vinyl but wanted to get it on CD.
