Book Description

March 19, 2005
Ergun Caner, the dean of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, challanges Christians to confront our culture with the truth of Jesus Christ. When Worldviews Collide is an eight-week interactive study that helps you understand the beliefs and assumptions behind todays religious teachings. Caner identifies six distinctives that separate Christianity from all other belief systems. Drawing parallels with the diverse religious culture of the first century, the author uses the Apostle Paul's courageous defenses of the Christian faith in the Book of Acts to expose the hollow claims of today's false forms of spirituality. He also examines the beliefs of four major world religions - Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam (his childhood religion) - and shows that those beliefs cannot stand against the truth of God's word. You will need the When Worldviews Collide Leader DVD to go along with it. ISBN - 1415822972 or take DLP PHIL 105.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent-highly recommend, July 13, 2009
This review is from: When Worldviews Collide (Paperback)
This book will be helpful in not only strengthening your own faith in Christ, but will also enable you to reach coworkers, friends, and family with the message of salvation. As a Christian this book helps with comparing Christianity to other choices people have as what to believe. Man has only way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ and this book makes that plain. It shows how to reach Muslims, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists for Christ. God loves them all but they have to come to Him through Christ and not any other way.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is a 10 star book, August 17, 2009
This review is from: When Worldviews Collide (Paperback)
Learning from an excommunicated Muslim from Turkey who converted to Christianity could not be a better way to learn about worldviews! Mr. Caner is very insightful, explanatory and helpful. Not only does he explain the main world religions/views but he helps Christians see how they can reach out to these other faiths and it is not what most would expect yet it makes sense. The writing style is so down to earth yet full of truth. After going through the class I passed it on to my pastor for Bible study.

This was a used book. There was some writing in it as well as some highlighting. The book itself was in very good condition, no torn pages. Very pleased with purchase. Working on shoestring budget, this was an excellent price. Would order again from this company.
