When the Wrong One Loves You Right is the third studio album released by American country music artist Wade Hayes. Released in January 1998 as his final album for Columbia Records Nashville, it includes the singles "The Day That She Left Tulsa (In a Chevy)" and "How Do You Sleep at Night", which peaked at #5 and #13, respectively, on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. Also released were the title track and "Tore Up from the Floor Up", neither of which reached Top 40. The album was originally to have been released in 1997 under the title Tore Up from the Floor Up, with a cover of Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman" serving as the lead-off single. After this cover failed to reach Top 40, however, it was replaced with "The Day That She Left Tulsa" and the album was re-titled, with "Wichita Lineman" not making the album's final cut.[2] The track "Summer Was a Bummer" was previously cut by Ty Herndon on his 1995 debut album What Mattered Most.

No one knows country like the south. This has to be Wade's best yet. I met Wade in Nashville at Country Music Fan Fair, and like him, his music speaks with such gentleness like the Southern Gentleman he really is. He is the genuine article and what country music needs more of. Kick back, relax, and enjoy real southern hospility with this one. A+

I originally bought this CD when the "chevy" song was first released, and discovered I liked every single song on it. It's hard to decide which song I like the best. I still listen to it at least once a week, if not more. Wade has one of the best voices I've ever heard, and has become one of my favorite country artists.

He is my all time favorite country singer. I love every song on this Album. There is (as always with his cds) a great mix of ballads and honky tonk.
His voice is hypnotizing and he has never sung a bad song. I wish radio and video channels would give credit where it's due. They play him so little that I can't remember the last time I heard him on radio or seen a video.
I think he is better than Alan Jackson and all the other big hit singers. I think there is a clique in Country where some singers just don't get the props they deserve THAT IS SO TRUE IN WADES CASE. This is a must have for anyone who likes genuine country music
