From Library Journal
Having little or no money in school libraries has become the modus operandi. Survival tactics can be equivalent to guerrilla warfare, but with this book you can win the war. Farmer, library director at the San Domenico School in San Anselmo, California, looks at all modes of operating a school library: planning, facilities, material resources, computer issues, human resources, information services, public relations, fundraising, and grants. She offers many clever low-cost or no-cost ideas (example: stapling egg cartons together to create acoustical tile; making kiosks from cardboard boxes). This book will be very useful for brainstorming sessions in school and small public libraries if you can find the funds to buy it.
