5.0 out of 5 stars INTRIGUING!!!!, October 16, 2009
B. J. Hoff writes with such tenderness, grace, and depth, that you are consumed with her books, from the very beginning. Her characters are "IMPOSSIBLE" to forget. Needless to say, they are intriguing!!! This is where her talent exceeds most writers. The only problem I have; is the stories are so wonderful, I read them to fast, and can't wait for the next book.
This being the 2nd of the series, I suggest very strongly, to read the 1st one. So, you will have the full enjoyment of the story line. You won't be sorry. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Grace in Fiery Times!, October 1, 2009
By
Length:: 1:47 Mins

A hidden evil lurks in the shadowed roads of the Amish community of Riverhaven. Will this evil lead to their ruin? Or will they find a haven Where Grace Abides?

I'm not really a huge fan of the whole Amish fiction trend, but BJ's Amish series is just fabulous.

Not the normal bonnet type books at all. Great suspense, characters that are just mysterious enough that you have to know more, and really interesting story twists!!

I enjoyed this book from the first page to the last and had ordered the second in the series prior to finishing the first book. There is a twist to this book which is different from most Amish stories. This kept my interest throughout the story. I loved the way the book is written. I am now watching for more books by this author.

I really enjoyed this book. It continues the saga of Rachel and her struggle to remain faithful to the Amish community and her love for Jeremiah, an outsider. Can't wait for book three.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tender Love Story, December 11, 2009
Rachel and Jeremiah plan to marry just as soon as they can obtain permission from Bishop Graber for Jeremiah to become Amish. Rachel has been waiting for Jeremiah to bring her the news, but for some reason he seems to be avoiding her. Has he changed his mind about loving her? She'd go talk to him, but her church has forbidden them to see each other.
Jeremiah has his own problems. Bishop Graber has rejected his request because he believes Jeremiah doesn't really want to become Amish, he just wants to marry Rachel. Also, Jeremiah is involved in helping runaway slaves which would be frowned on by the church if they knew. Someone is harrassing the Amish community with deadly results, and Rachel and Jeremiah could be in danger as they struggle to solve the mystery. B.J. Hoff has written a multi-layered story about a man and a woman who must learn to trust God to lead them through faith. Rich in conflict and emotion.

This is a well written, wonderful, riveting story. I love the time period & the character details. You will fall in love with Rachel & her family & have a hard time putting this book down. BJ Hoff is still writing the 3rd part of this trilogy. I hope to see it out late this year sometime. Can't wait!
