5.0 out of 5 stars Loving Dinos March 31, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Julia writes in rhythmic phrases and it is so incredibly interesting for children. I don't know any children who are not interested or captivated by dinosaurs. This book is sure to increase any child's interest and curiosity. Bob Ostrom is also a phenomenal illustrator and truly captures every single message Julia was conveying perfectly with images. They make a great team and this is a 5 star book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Treasure Trove for Teachers September 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Where Are The Dinos ? should be a staple in every prekindergarten and early primary classroom. What's not to love about Dinos going on Dino Dates as they dine on Stegosaurus plates?
The vivid illustrations blew me away and will mesmerize even the youngest of children. This book is a teacher's treasure trove for teaching so many concepts.
It takes place at a zoo where a group of animals visit and cannot figure out why there are no dinosaurs there. Every page asks a question from the animal visitors, as they imagine the dinos doing all sorts of zany things. Rhyming is found on every page to ensure that children will be reading along. There is so much humor as the way the dinos are portrayed I can just see children laughing and begging for more. This would be a great teacher read aloud and then will become a favorite book the children will be reading also by themselves over and over again. Well done, Julia Dweck and Bob Ostrom!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rhyming Fun at it's Best! May 30, 2013
By Sally G
Format:Kindle Edition
I was very fortunate to be able to share this book with the kiddos; I received it through my kindle as an ebook. The colors are so vivid and definitely meant to catch a little ones eyes. The words are typed in a big easy to read font, perfect for young readers. The story is engaging and is a really fun way to learn about rhyming words. Throughout the book the question is asked, "Where are the Dinos?" The kids definitely enjoyed seeing all the funny questions that were asked. At the end they sort of found out where the dinos were...extinct! There are lots of fun facts and activities at the end of the book to keep the fun going. Even the older kiddos checked it out and did the fun activities at the end of the book. I printed out a few copies of each page so we could all do them. I even did them! Who knew that dinos lived over 160 million years ago?

5.0 out of 5 stars So much fun to read! May 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I always find myself trying to read my son's books in a sing song rhyme format like I did as a kid. Unfortunately, most of his boy books are not silly or rhyme at all. No, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,.. It's more like, Tractors plow the field... BORING!!! Thankfully, in Where Are The Dinos? from the first page to the last, this ebook flows with fun rhymes, paired with engaging vibrant illustrations.

I had such a fun time reading this book to my son. As I read this book I really got into the rhymes and questions, acting a few out along the way. My son had a wonderful time watching and listening! I highly recommend it! OH! And the learning activities and fun facts are such a nice addition!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dino-riffic read for all ages...and periods! ^_^ April 4, 2013
By GMR
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I don't know how anyone can read through this work and not come out one of several things...educated, entertained or just plain smiling. The rhyming this time around is spot on which nary a break in the prose nor a hitch in the flow. The story progresses through the curious mind of our lead character at just the right pace. The combination of word and image creates bookish magic with something to appeal to the senses with every flick of the page. Even the extras included at ebook's end are a great way to extend the fun already had.

All in all, another release of Jurassic proportions from a kid lit author whose proving herself one ebook at a time. Mrs. Dweck's work can be counted on to educate, entertain and just plain add a smile to your day...and a little rhyme and meter never hurt anyone. Happy reading!

As a mother and a teacher I LOVED this book! What kid does not have one millions questions just hankering to be answered? As a mother I love hearing all the questions that my kids come up with. When my sons and I sat down to read this gem of a book we all instantly fell in love. The rhyming text and the great pictures, along with the million questions the little guy asked was most enjoyable and such a treat. I loved how the book ended and the extras at the end of the book. I plan to use this in my classes and I cannot wait to plan an entire lesson around this fantastic children's book! I rate it 5 stars and cannot wait to read more by this amazing children's author.
