This Faith Hill song, "Where Are You Christmas?" is from the soundtrack of the film "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," which was released in 2000 and starred Jim Carrey. It's not to be confused with the 1966 CBS TV special, although both were based at least loosely on the 1957 Dr. Seuss book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!"

It's a lovely song, sung by Ms. Hill with great power and feeling as she laments the loss of Christmas and the joy and peace that Christmas represents:

"Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play"

Definitely a 5-star performance by Faith Hill, one of America's finest country music artists.

I had looked everywhere for this song to be listed on a Faith Hill Christmas CD. Unfortunately, maybe the Grinch soundtrack has all the rights to it(I didn't like many of the other songs on the soundtrack). So when I got my Ipod Shuffle, I made sure this one song was downloaded to my Shuffle. "Where Are You Christmas" should become a classic song. It says so much of the lost meaning of Christmas in so few words. I will enjoy this for many years to come.

How disappointing that Where Are You Christmas by Faith Hill can only be heard on the soundtrack or by purchasing it for an MP3. I don't have an MP3 player, and I hear this song every Christmas time, stop whatever I'm doing, and cry. It is so poignant, so touching, so very beautiful that, yes, it should have been on Faith Hill's Christmas CD, and it should be a Christmas classic, just as The Little Drummer Boy once was. It is a modern "classic" that I hope will be heard for years and years into the future.

This should be a standard christmas song. The emotion she brings to this music brings tears to my eyes. Beautiful voice for any genre.

I'm not a fan of the Grinch. I find it too implausible to believe anyone could wake up to nothing on Christmas morning and act all happy and cheery and singing like that. (I found the cartoon version entertaining as a child despite the implausibly but the implausibility of this came to bother me much more as an adult.) However Faith Hill's Where Are You Christmas is such a beautiful and well performed piece that I decided to purchase it for my Christmas music collection. My Christmas music collection also includes 3 songs from Faith Hill's Christmas album (Santa Claus is Coming to Town,Holly Jolly Christmas, and Winter Wonderland.) and they are all exceptional. Faith Hill's performance of Where Are You Christmas is a performance can truly feel and that's a mark of a great performance. 5 out of 5 stars.

i bought this song because it is how i am feeling about Christmas. i hoped it would soothe my depression and give me a little childlike feeling for Christmas this year. I love this song and Faith Hill did a good job recording it and i am happy to have it my library.
i just can not get into the swing of feeling joyful and light this year. maybe next year?

This is such a great, meaningful song. It has so much power to it, well written and sung. I highly recommend listening (and purchasing) this song to support this great artist. This song is a true 'modern' classic and is a must for any Christmas music lover.

It's such a beautiful song. Starts out quiet and slow and like so many of us, it starts with why did Christmas leave our hearts. Then the end she finds it again and the volume picks up and the message is clear. Love it.

I love this song, and can't find it on Christmas song collections, so I got it here. I love Amazon mp3 downloads....so easy! And this one is a good quality recording, with clear, sharp notes.
