Here are the tales of 47, mostly pop figures from the Sixties: the likes of Fabian, Chubby Checker, Dave Clark, Phoebe Snow, Donovan, Alice Cooper, Manfred Mann. Short chapters on each performer combine recent photos, career sketches, and some wonderfully revealing interviews. A common theme is that success was problematical.
