Parents and caretakers will have lots of fun reading and acting out this story with babies and toddlers. The author uses the positional concepts under, behind and in. Then she names familiar objects like a cat, dog or ball and places them in, under or behind something else the child knows like a bed or chair. Throughout the book the question Where is BABY? is repeated until she is finally found in an appropriate setting at the end. The illustrations are softly drawn in muted colors pleasing to the eye. Young children will want to hear it read over and over.

Babies love hide and seek and this book keeps their attention. Naming the different places baby could hide helps in their learning. The bright colorful pages are perfect.

Little ones just love to play Where's the Baby? So naturally, reading this story book to them and letting them guess who is hiding is a fun learning tool. Would be a great board book! with flaps to open and see who is hiding there!

This is another book that my son loves to "read" to me. The pictures are well done and pretty much tell the story and it follows a very stable question and answer pattern that is easy for the kids to remember. It's a story that gets chosen frequently at bedtime.

She doesn't really talk but "reads" this to herself. She says "Baby? No, meow." And so on... She loves this short book!

My son had fun answering each time they asked if baby was there. He is 18 months. Cute story for wee ones.
