This review is from: Where is Baby's Mommy? (Board book)
I started reading this to my daughter when she was about 7 months. Listening her language and reasoning develop with each passing month is just incredible. She went from knowing when to say "no" and "yes" (after revealing Mommy's hiding spots) to knowing where Mommy is hiding, and naming all the things that Baby encounters along the way. I had to buy a second one because the first one was used and chewed and the flaps were all torn off. (You could say she ate it up.) She's now 21 months and still loving this story.

LOVE IT!,
This review is from: Where is Baby's Mommy? (Board book)
My 13 month old son LOVES this book! He loves to shake his head no when I ask "is mommy in the closet", "is mommy behind the plant".... - it is the only one he wants to read these days! He has a basket full of books next to the glider in his room and if I pick up a different book he will keep looking down at the basket shaking his head. We have two copies of this book, one we keep in his room and one in the diaper bag, it is a sure fire way to keep him happy if he ever starts to fuss when we are out. Great book!

My daughter started crawling because of this book!,

This review is from: Where is Baby's Mommy? (Board book)
My 7 month old daughter loves this book so much that the first time ever she started crawling was to come sit near me while I read it to her! She always laughs and giggles whenever I take this book out and she comes over to sit next to me. Other books, don't hold her attention and she wanders off after a few pages! I definitely recommend it!

My daughter was introduced to Karen Katz through Where is Baby's Belly Button. When I saw Where is Baby's Mommy, I had to get it. My daughter loves Where is Baby's Mommy almost as much as she loves Where is Baby's Belly Button. The text is simple and the illustrations colorful and fun for her to look at. She loves looking behind the various items and when we get to the blanket, she kicks her legs and squeals because she knows she is about to find Mommy.I highly recommend Where is Baby's Mommy to all parents with young children.

Wish they would make "untearable flaps",

This is a "brilliant" book! My child enjoys lifting the flaps and finding something else besides mommy! When I say "Nooooooooo" she giggles and giggles and giggles!
The one star I am deducting is for the "binding" of the book! Wish it had sturdier flaps! After using cello tapes and what nots, we gave up and now we can see rubber duck inside the shower.... giving away the suspense. This book is great for dads to read to their kids! It speaks the truth! It is late morning on a Saturday.. you need your power breakfast before getting ready for a marathon ESPN/College football day! You look and look for the mommy....all the while dragging the kid with you... along the way you find all kinds of mess (wagon, ball, rubber ducks etcetera etcetera) around the house and finally find mommy STILL under the sheets.... IHOP here I come!

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 4 months. She has loved this book from the beginning. She is now 9 months old and gets excited when it is time to read this book. We have to read it 3 or 4 times in a row and sometimes that is not enough. Absolutely her favorite book.

Our son absolutely loves this book!,

We received this book as a gift when our son was 4 months old and we have been reading this book to him ever since. He loves this book! He loves turning the pages and lifting the flaps. We have read this book so many times that I have had to glue the flaps back on several times. He is over 10 months old and this is still the book that he reaches for first.

I bought this for my nine-month old who is a year now. She loves any kind of lift the flap book and she really loves this one. Also loves Where is Baby's Belly Button? by the same author. These books are fairly indestructible too (so far) which is a plus!

Karen Katz books are awesome! My daughter has had several of them since birth, and is now two, and picks them off the bookshelf to read almost everynight. By lifting the flaps, she really feels she is participating in the story. She's pretty gentle, and rougher kids may pull/rip the flaps. Note - the flaps seem to be bigger and sturdier - and the stories better - in the books both written AND illustrated by Karen Katz. LOVE her books.

Baby's Mommy is reading this book again.,

This is another cute Karen Katz book with wonderful illustrations. My 18-month-old loves to lift up the flaps to look for "mommy" and has been enjoying it since he got it for his first birthday. It's a good book for him to look at by himself but even more fun when we read it together, which is often.
