This review is from: Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? (Board Game) (Board Game)
A friend of my daughter's gave this game to her for her birthday recently. Since then, the entire family has been playing it several times a week. It is a great combo of solving mysteries while learning A LOT about the U.S.A. My husband and I were pretty shocked about how many state capitals we weren't sure about until we played this game! Now, the whole family knows all of our capitals inside and out and its all thanks to this game. Each time the mystery is different, which makes the game really fun each time and you get to move your good guy (Carmen) or a bad guy(a henchman) to make things really fun and different. I highy reccommend this game--especially if you want to teach your kids AND YOURSELF about basic Geography of the U.S.A. Every American should know ALL of their capitals. If you don't, try playing this and have fun while you are learning them!

Too tough for young kids!,
By A Customer
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? (Board Game) (Board Game)
I bought this game for my daughters, ages 8 and 9, who know next to nothing about U.S. geography, hoping they'd learn some of the basics. The questions in this game are WAY too difficult for geography beginners in terms of the content, and the convoluted way the questions are phrased makes it taxing just to listen and get the gist of the question. The game might be educational, but if it's no fun for young players, they are not going to play it and learn anything.

I remember playing this game growing up and was so excited to find it again. I have bee using the questions in my classroom with my 5th graders as brain teasers. They loved the challenge. We haven't gotten to the point where we can play the game in class, but my husband, sister and I had a great time!
