The story is simple: once there were dragons scaling mountains, swimming seas, flying through the skies; then they went away, but children know they're still out there. The text is dramatic, but it's sometimes marred by the forced sing-song rhyme ("The fiery games that dragons played / made men and women quite afraid" ). Fantastic!!!,

My 5 yr. old son and I just loved this book. The art work is so beautiful and the story is wonderful. My son was afraid of thunder until we read this now he believes it's only the dragons leaving. I intend on purchasing this book for every family I know with small children!

The illustrations are so beautiful you just want to dive into the book. And the wonderful rhyming text almost makes you want to sing the story rather than read it. One of my favorite books ever.

A Wonderful, Mystical Story,

I wore out the paper-covered version of Where Did All the Dragons Go? reading it to my 5-year-old. When he turned 6, I ordered it, again, in hard back. The book has a very pleasant rhythm and a wonderfully whimsical story. Great illustrations! P.S. We're going to give this book to all my 6-year old's fellow kindergarteners as a graduation gift and the hardback to his teacher.
