5.0 out of 5 stars A must have book from ages 1 to 100!!!!
I bought this book for my kids but the adults in the family are still passing it around. This is a book that will be loved by ALL. I laughed so hard the first time I read it I was in tears. It takes all of the Christmas songs we know and love and makes them into spoofs about the holidays we can all relate to told from the view point of the kids. From going to the mall...

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This get " Take Me Out Of The Bathtub " instead
I bought this book without having read it in advance. I had purchsed " Take me out of the bathtub " by the same author and it is great. The songs in that book are very funny and my grand children love to sing them . I originaly checked out a group of books from the library because I loved the illustrator and was happy to find " Take me out of the bathtub ". Buy this book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Alan Katz is a genius!!, November 14, 2005
We have every one of Alan Katz's "silly dilly" song books, and we have worn them out. He gave life to lots of old stand-by songs, and now he's done the same to Christmas. I can't tell you the number of nights I've laid in bed with my son singing Katz's adorable, and hysterical new lyrics. If you're not a "silly-dilly" devotee yet, it's never too late to start. Don't have kids without it!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like to sing this one's for you!, January 9, 2007

This book met all of my expectations and then some. My boys are both singers and we all read through this together. Our favorite - "At the Mall" sang to the tune of "Deck the Halls" If you like to laugh and sing or one or the other, buy this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars My son loves these silly songs, March 15, 2006
I'd suggest adding a CD with a tune so old parents can remember the melody...other than that...great. His favorite is Something in My Brother's Underpants. Of course, he's 5, so why wouldn't a song about stinky diapers be his favorite?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great illustrations!, January 20, 2009
This review is from: Where Did They Hide My Presents?: Silly Dilly Christmas Songs (Paperback)
My girls think these songs are hysterical, and they love singing them. And, as with all books illustrated by David Catrow, they also enjoy just sitting and looking at the pictures. Very fun book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't hide this book, December 20, 2008
This review is from: Where Did They Hide My Presents?: Silly Dilly Christmas Songs (Paperback)
Where did they hide my Presents was very well received by my third graders this season. It's a great fill in when you have a minute and the humor is understood by most. Illustrations go well with the verses, and they are fairly easy to read without too much prior practice.

The songs are funny and engaging and a wonderful way to get children reading fluently. You'll have fun singing the songs along with your children and you'll be amazed at how well they can read the words after learning the songs. Who knew teaching reading to your own child would be so fun and easy?!

My daughter checked this book out from her school library and we fell in love with it. It is funny and true. This year we took it to a children's Christmas party and she read some of the "songs" for the guests and they were all laughing. Our favorite is "What's in My Brother's Underpants?"
