I was overjoyed to find this on CD after so many years! I have the album but never play albums anymore. I really missed this music and now I am so happy I can hear it whenever I want to!! REX is a hard rock CD done before Rex Smith turned pop. I love this whole CD and wish it had been more popular when it was made.

As I write this review there are already 5 reviews for the debut but none for this the 2nd Rex album. The debut is a bit heavier and has some classics like Trouble, Dead End Kids, and 10 Seconds To Love. But I think WDWGFH? is better overall. For those "not in the know", Rex is the younger brother of Michael Lee Smith who was the vocalist for an underrated 70s band called Starz! As one reviewer for the debut mentioned, the first two Rex albums were not just solo albums for Rex but featured a solid band including ex-Hydra bassist Orville Davis. I like almost all of the songs on this album, especially rockers "7 Come 11" & "Stealin The Night Away", and the ballad "Chains Around My Heart". But I think the title track is the standout cut. It's just a great well written song. Rex sure had a strong set of pipes. Get the first two Rex albums and pick up Violation and Coliseum Rock by Starz while you're at it.

In 1979, I saw the movie "Sooner or Later" on TV. I was 23, on my own and didn't pay a great deal of attention to Rex Smith, other than he was cute. Cut to Fall 2010, hear "You Take My Breath Away" on the radio and wonder what Sexy Rexy is doing these days. Check out the internet. Holy Cow!! There are so many videos, homemade and studio made; so many comments from teenagers AND THEIR MOTHERS!!!! going on about the movie, music, etc. So I buy the "Sooner or Later" and "Everlasting Love" cds. About play them to death. Decide to purchase the others. I absolutely love WDWGFH!!!!! "Rex" is a little too much for this 54 yr old, but WDWGFH is AWESOME!!!!!. I especially like "Do Me". The title and lyrics says it all, but I love the hard, driving beat with the drums and guitars. Makes me want to dance, which I do badly. Can totally see Rex in boots, tight pants, shirt unbuttoned to his navel, foot tapping to the beat, hips shaking to the music, lots of upper body 'shoulder action', lots of sexy smiles, suggestive facial expressions when singing the lyrics to the "ladies", prancing and strutting around all over the stage, pointing the mike stand to the audience, just rocking out and having a great ole time.
In all my reading, a third album was made but Columbia never released it for whatever reason. Too bad for us. There are a couple of good rock songs on the other albums also, but really appreciate "Where Do We Go From Here" in its entirety. As stated in other reviews "Chains On My Heart", "Never Too Old to Rock and Roll", etc. are great and the CD is worth purchasing. I tried to get "the oldies station" to play cuts from WDWGFH and they can't; not available to them. I told them to go buy it; said they couldn't; violated the "canned" oldies format. I think the "younger generation" would appreciate this CD.
