One of my favorites!,
This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
This book is wonderful! I have read it hundreds of times to my 2 and 4 year old. It's rhyming text keeps kids interested. As the name implies, it explores the question of whether God lives in the beautiful ocean, the sky, etc. Ultimately it teaches that God is everywhere and in everyone. I would recommend this book to anyone. I have purchased it for several friends as well.

A Wonderful Story for Children of All Ages,
By
This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
I bought this book to use with my class at church. The children loved the beautiful story and the simple message. My class ranges in age from 2 years old to 7 years old, and they all truly enjoyed the book. I would recommend this book to anyone with a curious child or questions of their own about God and his place in the universe. A wonderful addition to any library.

This is a sweet, touching story of a young girl's search for answers about God. Holly Bea explains His presence in words that young children can understand. A beautifully written and illustrated book that I bought in preparation for starting a family. I've read it to other adults who get tears in their eyes when they hear the story. It is THAT good!

I loved this story.,

"Where Does God Live" was a charming book that left me smiling after reading it to my nieces age 4 and 7. The text was sweet; the pictures were colorful and original. I especially appreciated how the narrative opened the door to dialogue and discussion amongst us three gals. I can't think of a better gift for a child than an opportunity to explore spirituality through color and verse. And, I can't imagine how anyone would be disappointed in this gift to a child's library or their own.

For my Children,
This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
I came across this book when I was in my first drug treatment center at 17. I lost the book through the course of events that happened in my life, but a few months ago it crossed my mind. I was trying to decide what gift I could give my children, whom I put up for adoption several years ago. I wanted somthing that reflected the depth of the wisdom I had gained through my jouney. I cannot write my children, but I thought of this book and how much it stated what I really wanted to say to them. I bought another copy for me, so that I can be reminded of the beautiful truth contained in the message, and one for my children. I am so grateful that I came across such a wonderful book!

Great way to start teaching about God,
By California Mother of Twins (Palo Alto) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
When I realized my 4 yr old twins knew all about Santa, but not about God, I knew it was time to start teaching this. I don't like the dogmatic and fundamentalist stuff that dominates children's religious books. This one is just great! It gives children a context for God, and the Grandmother tells the little girl that God doesn't just live in a far-away place called Heaven; God lives in all his creations, including you and me. A perfect book for introducing the idea of God without any denominational dogma, plus the ideas of heaven, and prayer to connect simply and purely to God. Allows you to teach your kids about God in a universal sense, without limiting God to Christian concepts.

This is our second book from Holly Brea. My daughter loves her books and I really appreciate how open and honest these books are. This is a wonderful story about a girl searching for God who finds out God is everywhere.

This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
This book is the best! I love the way Holly Bea answers questions about God in language that is entertaining and easy for anyone to understand. After showing this book to the Youth Director of my church, she wants to use it in all confirmation classes! I can't wait for Holly Bea's next book!

By
This review is from: Where Does God Live? (Hardcover)
This is an excellent children's book. It clearly explains "Where God Lives"
and does so in a way that children of all ages can understand. It not only gives the "pat answer" of "God lives in heaven" ; it goes on and shows the many places where God dwells. The book is written in rhyming style. It has nice, colorful illustrations, too |
