5.0 out of 5 stars great reference, poor illustrations
This is a valuable book to have in any Christian library, but one thing that has always irritated me is that fact that it proclaims that it is "fully illustrated." To me, that means the topics and subjects are illustrated -- in actuality, it means there are silly cartoons that make lame jokes about some topics. Very disappointing, but the material is great

1.0 out of 5 stars Artistic Expression?
The author of this book has certainly taken his liberties with it. I bought it, thinking it would be something nice to have around, for reference. And granted, there are many great resources in it, such as where to find references to 'Eviction', 'Cattle' etc.

However, the serious fallacies and mistranslations in this book are staggering. They outweigh any...

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is alive!, December 3, 1997
By A Customer
This book is alive! It covers topics right out of my daily life (like leadership, politics, and management) that I've never been able to find so easily in a traditional concordance. Then, as the title says, it shows me where to find them in the Bible. I'm using it as one of my key organizational development tools. Dr. John Rivera, consultant, researcher, and educator

4.0 out of 5 stars A useful and easy-to-use tool, May 11, 2001

This book has helped me find Scripture that relates to modern topics. This book is far from comprehensive, but there's value in that: The book lists only the Bible verses that seem to most strongly relate to each topic. Also, this book is different from a concordance in that each topic may not actually appear in the listed verses' text; context makes the topic clear.

My only criticism of this book is that it doesn't offer enough "See" entries for related topics. When I don't find a topic I'm looking for, I usually start guessing about similar topics under which I might find suitable verses, which can be a little frustrating.

1.0 out of 5 stars Artistic Expression?, April 9, 2006
The author of this book has certainly taken his liberties with it. I bought it, thinking it would be something nice to have around, for reference. And granted, there are many great resources in it, such as where to find references to 'Eviction', 'Cattle' etc.

However, the serious fallacies and mistranslations in this book are staggering. They outweigh any good things about it. Anyone who reads this book is going to read that 'Lent' is listed in the Bible, as well as 'Sunday' being 'a' or 'THE' Sabbath, and that Easter is the same as Passover. <sigh>

I would not recommend this, and will most likely return it. Mr. Anderson needs to expose himself to a Strong's Concordance. Then maybe I'll considering purchasing and/or recommending anything he writes.

4.0 out of 5 stars useful and interesting, June 18, 2001

Almost every subject you can think of, is listed in this book. Makes looking up subjects for home study, Sunday School, or sermons a breeze. I wish it has a little more to it, because it is such a great tool. I am always referencing it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a Good Kindle book!, September 21, 2009
Unfortunately the kindle edition of this book is not indexed so there is no way to search it. This pretty much makes it useless. I had to find this out the hard way by ordering the book. I've contacted Amazon to see if I can get a refund or return. While the printed version is no doubt very useful, the Kindle edition would create a very tedious page after page dilemma trying to find a keyword since the search feature is not enabled. What were they thinking?????

This is a terrific reference book for anyone who studies the Bible and needs to locate certain Scripture on a whole variety of topics like race, politics, love, faith, finances, salvation, etc. Very easy to follow and you will appreciate it a lot. It will make Bible studying easier and fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mordern terms in Bible, September 21, 2001
By A Customer
You can find out mordern terms from the Bible by this Reference Book. Of course, the terms are not exactly the same as in the Bible. But the author does a good job to make reference the concept of the mordern terms (e.g.VISA) in the Bible.

5.0 out of 5 stars "They Sayers", January 14, 2005
This book is often used in our house hold for the "They Sayers." You know the ones that say, "They say this is in the Bible, that is in the Bible." It has prevented many an argument before they ever started.

2.0 out of 5 stars I thought "Ultimate" meant complete...., January 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I saw this book at a friend's house and made a mental note to get it when I could. But it seems this copy that I bought is incomplete. Much of the index is there, but I wrote down references for manhood from my friends book that were omitted from this version, as well as inferiority. Now I would like to know how I can get the complete version!
