This book is a treasure. As an educator, I have read many children's books to my classes, but this individual story can be felt by each soul. My students can look forward to hearing this story repeated throughout the year. It gives them a chance to experience life as the gift it truly is.

Beautiful and touching,

An instant classic, not just for children. The enchanting story and artwork took me back to my own childhood growing up in a rural community in a simpler, more peaceful time. I hope that my daughter will one day read this book to her own children so they can experience some of the magic. A must have for any family.
