Awesome book, but when isn't one of Nora's books not awesome. Of the two stories I enjoyed Her Mother's Keeper more a little more intrigue.

First, let me say I am a Nora Roberts fan. I read everything she writes - - or I thought I had. These two stories (From This Day/Her Mother's Keeper) were written in the early 1980's and they must be some of her earliest efforts. I didn't realize that when I ordered, but probably would have ordered anyway had I known. Both stories are in the "roll your eyes" category. I couldn't believe such lame dialogue came from Ms. Roberts. If her early works are being reissued, I wish someone would do something to fix that. I couldn't make myself finish the 2nd story. I'll pay more attention to issue dates now.

This was my first Nora Roberts book, and my last! I picked up this book because I was looking for a good read and a different author to get hooked into. This book offers 2 short stories- I had to force myself to get through each chapter knowing that it has to get better--Nora Roberts has written many novels and I was compelled to finish this story to see her style of writting! Well, I was so disapointed by the first story that I won't continue on for the 2nd! Characters are empty, no plot to keep you hooked- This book is filled with many starts of a possible physical relationship, but no outcome without any real logical explaination- Big Let Down, I'm thankful that this story was only 176 pages long!
