The Best Original Songs!,
By Kathy T. Farren (Wilmington, DE United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Where the Heart Is: Music from the Motion Picture (Audio CD)
Where The Heart Is has some of the best original songs for a sound track I have ever heard. There is not one song on this CD that you wouldn't like and that is very rare. They are all AWESOME! From the originals to the older classics. Great movie, great CD! How it got over looked for an award is beyond me.

This sountrack has got a little something for everyone. My favorite songs are: #12 "Just Might Change Your Life" by a group called 3 of Hearts. They are awesome! My next favorite song is #13 "That's The Beat OF A Heart" by The Warren Brothers and Sara Evans. Get it and ENJOY!

Great CD in Time,

I LOVED this movie, so I was psyched to get the soundtrack, and I love it! I fell instantly in love with "Shake my Soul" and "beyond the Blue," but it did take some time for me to enjoy the whole CD. "Few and Far Between" and "Rowdy Booty Time took some getting used to, but now I can honestly say that I enjoy every single song on this CD....besides "Beat of the Heart"...I wasn't a fan of the song in the movie, and I guess I still don't like, but don't let that stop you from missing out on the rest this CD has to offer!

After reading the book, and seeing the movie I had to have the soundtrack and it was so good!, thats why it gets my pick for 5 stars sometimes music doesnt match the movie but this soundtrack ranks number 1 on my all time list, the last 2 songs are great and now i love that band 3 of hearts.

Not GREAT, but not BAD,

For some reason I'm giving the cd 4 stars instead of 3 just because the songs are so catchy. As a teenager not too fond of country music, I liked about half the cd. The thing that lists the songs on this site is missing one. "Only You (And You Alone)" by Lonestar is number 10. This certainly isn't my favorite cd, but it has some nice songs to listen to when you're in a good mood.

This Soundtrack Changed My Life,
By Jason L. (Los Angeles, Calif) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Where the Heart Is: Music from the Motion Picture (Audio CD)
The only other movie that used music as well as this one was GoodFellas. That's why I had to buy this soundtrack immediately after I saw the movie. Now I'm not a big fan of country music, but after seeing the movie I just couldn't stop singing that Beth Nielsen Chapman song "Shake My Soul," gonna shake my sould...do do doo do do... It's the kinda song that just sticks with you. And then of course you've got Lyle Lovett doing a nice rendition of the Ray Charles classic. This soundtrack hasn't left my CD player for weeks. I have become so obsessed by the Nashville music displayed on this record that I plan on vacationing there, It's not often that I think a CD is worth $15, but I was actually willing to pay $20 for this one. Thanks you for giving me the opportunity to discover something new. This record has changed the way I view life.

I bought this CD because I had bought the movie. I loved the movie. Then I heard the CD. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I think it is a great CD. I would recommend this CD to anyone. Every song on it is wonderful. There isn't a song that I dislike. One of my favorite songs on the CD is "Just Might Change Your Life". The whole CD is great.
