3.0 out of 5 stars Boring April 27, 2014

Illustrations are horrible, story is small and slow, pain to read on Kindle, with just a few words on each page.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hummingbirds came from eggs... May 26, 2012

I found this to be a cute kids' story. I'm not sure how it bridges any cultural gaps, but then I didn't really study the Russian part of the story simply because I would have needed the Russian alphabet and pronunciation guide to get it. Cyrillics are a bit difficult for me, but that's my shortcoming, not the books. Hummingbirds come from rainbows and singing mist? Well, that appeals to the poet in me, but the scientist in me still holds that Hummingbirds come from eggs...
