Indeed. I'd like to see what Limited Editions are going to be available before I choose which one to pre-order. It'd also be nice to know if Amazon is going to get one at all because I'd use my $30 game credit from pre-ordering Kinect.
You have to figure there is a strong possibility that Target, Best Buy, and maybe Walmart will have exclusives too.
Xbox.com has posted info on the Limited Edition http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Kinectimals/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5308b3 Try Gamestop, Kmart, Walmart, Burger King, Target, Best Buy, and distributors.
Aye, looks like Toy's 'R' Us is selling the cheetah for the same price as the game without the cheetah - however free shipping is only for 100$ purchase. I did cancel my order and reorder to save the 10$ tho. thanks.
The free shipping for preorders was on the front page of the video games section when I ordered... it is however not there any more as I just checked. But yeah, even with shipping it is worth it since your getting more for the same price. Glad I could help someone.
get your pre orders from gamestop.com, for some reason mine was shipped on monday and i received today...i ordered the limited edition from there, i got a notice at my apo address that i had a parcel pickup...went into the office and they gave me my kinectimals game
same thing happened to me. I preorded both from toyrus and gamestop. Got my gamestop one today. companies get in trouble for sending out a game a week before release. But I guess you can't play it if you dont have a sensor.
true dat! i want 2 play it but i cant wit out the sensor...but even if i had the sensor im still not puttin that game in with it connected 2 xbox live...i dont want 2 get banned or in trouble 4 playin a game like 2 weeks before release...i guess they figured it dont matter since they know we can't play it yet
You can get the "Animals" from different outlets. Some will be sold in Burger King restaurants in November inside the Kid's Club meals. Also at Gamestop and Amazon, too. Perhaps other outlets, too, but don't know specifically.
Wow, gamestop just called me and told me NOT to play the game yet. They said they were calling everyone they accidentally shipped out too and telling them if they play the game that their xbox will stop working correctly until the official release date.
So pretty much they took about a week of my paid xbox live membership away from me. Shouldn't they reimburse me for that? They said no.
Found this story about the problem @ http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/28/psa-got-a-kinect-game-early-dont-stick-it-in/
Well, that's a pain about the unique code, but it's understandable. With three profiles (mine, my son's, and my daughter's), we'll have to figure out who gets the limited editions on their profile. Hopefully, I can set them all up on my mine and we can have multiple save games.
I wonder if the BK toys have unique codes too. I'm already going to have to chow down 6 kids meals to get the set. Be nice if I didn't have to get three of each.
Not opening it until Christmas, so I'll have plenty of time to see how others are handling the codes.
Yes, Monkey is the first toy in the series. I'm told there will be a total of 60 animals available (total for the game) so other retailers other than BK will have animals, such as Gamestop and Toys R Us.
Wanted to throw this one out there...........For the ones that have been following the limited editions Kinectimals from Gamestop ($59.99) and Toysrus ($49.99), there is a $10 price between the two with no difference except for the price, except for now. Just found out that Gamestop has added a bonus to there package deal with an in game code that unlocks a red and black playable tiger. I have mine pre-ordered from gamestop but never noticed the special downloaded bonus. Link has been provided. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=200937&loc=ntltitle5
