Grab This One!,

This album probably ranks among the dozen or so best by any artist ever recorded and few people know about it. The songs, production values, arrangements and above all Bobby Caldwell's dynamic and totally engaging vocals form a seamless creation with is hypnotic. Everything here is great great great though Carrie Ann is my favorite (it's a very naughty little song, too). Why Bobby Caldwell is not the superstar of superstars is a mystery. I just hope HE knows he is great!

I absolutely love this album by Caldwell. I first heard "Where Is Love" many years ago during a drive home and was hooked for life ever since then. The whole album is just amazing but the title track, "One Love" and "Lovelite" are extremely radiant. Blast the stereo and be taken to a great place of fun happiness and beauty with these songs but the remaining tracks are great as well. Don't hesitate to buy this ASAP!!!

I bought this CD quite sometime ago, and when flipping through CD's to take to work to listen to, I grabbed this one. I fell in love all over again. It is so smooth, and as another reviewer stated, "radiant". There isn't a bad song. He's an accomplished songwriter, arranger, singer and musician. Love him!

Bobby Caldwell does it again with this album. Great listening that offers a variety of tunes, melodies and vocals. I bought this album when it came out originally and have had it in my collection every since.

I bought this album back in the nineties and this is one of Bobby Caldwells best albums. His voice paired with his composing abilities are nearly unmatched, if you enjoy well performed music that puts you in an emotional mode. The sound and the harmonics aren't what you can expect from your daily average, and often mediocre radio broadcast content. No, this is way beyond. This is for connoisseurs! Thank's Bobby!!!

This is another good one from Bobby Caldwell. I started out a fan of that first GREAT single; you know of which one I speak. And One Saturday morning, I accepted that I was just hooked forever after hearing Carry On played in its entirety. This cd has so many highlights that it more than makes up for any low points the unbiased may find. Carrie Ann, with its sense of humor about non-malicious voyeurism and the gorgeous title track, Rina, and One Love are just such great songs. My favorite is Lovelite! You just have to turn it up and let it get you. Nice work!

I love all of it, especially Carrie Anne. I can't get enough of Bobby Caldwell. Yet when I mention him to others, I get a total BLANK STARE. Amazing.

A true classic of smooth jazz,

This is one of those disks that is SO GOOD that you remember where you were when you first heard it. I was on a business trip in Detroit in 1993 when I heard it on the radio, and I went straight to a record store to buy it (pre-Amazon days). Bobby's voice sparkles, and the instrumentals have a wispy, whimsical feel about them. Every tune is solid, but "Once Upon a Time" and "Rina" are real classics. I still get chills whenever I hear them (perhaps because it was 10 below zero in Detroit at the time!) This CD is an all-time favorite of mine.

Quite a few original classics,

Bobby Caldwell sings with that slight raspiness of a Mel Torme or Bobby Short, but with his own smooth sytle. There are moments of similarity with Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr. I was surprised to hear how accomplished he is on guitar also. Several of the songs on this album are modern classics, heard often on the radio even in 1999. This is almost a "Greatest Hits" album without the title. I have wanted to buy this album for years before finally finding it here. I consider it a great underappreciated treasure.
