Book Description

October 20, 2005
As his wife packs to leave him, a bitter sales manager on the verge of his second divorce from Angela, his Southern Belle wife, reminisces about their relationship as well as the relationships of his past. This includes his relationship with his first wife, whose name he will not utter for fear of invoking demons, his experience with his first love, Jessica, with whom he shared his first sexual experience, his times with Brandy, his high-school sweetheart, and even a rendezvous with Una, a woman he meets on a business trip in Germany who does not speak English. Before it's all over, he hopes to get over his past, deal with the present and move on with his life. This book pulls no punches when discussing the pitfalls and hardships of love, sex, marriage and divorce. It is an edgy, sexy, witty and realistic page turner that examines the fragility of relationships.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Refreshing New Novel Women and Men Can Relate To, June 27, 2006
This review is from: Where Is the Love? (Paperback)
Have you ever had a day where your current relationship is on the rocks or about to end? You sit there and remember each and every lover you've ever had. Every time when love meant something and every time it didn't. If you have done this at least once in your lifetime, then this is the novel for you. Emanuel has captured the very essence of this issue that men and women can relate to. His writing style is real, edgy, hysterical, with a smooth, sensitive side to it. A good read, I can't wait for the sequel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sistagaal from GAAL Atlanta, May 2, 2006
This review is from: Where Is the Love? (Paperback)
Although the title character remains nameless throughout the book, he could be any number of men that we run across daily. As he takes us through each failed relationship in his past, we laugh, get angry and reminisce along with him. At times you wonder has he learned anything from these relationships. At the end, you hope that before he ventures down the aisle again, will he answer the question of why is he getting married again. This book was entertaining and allowed you entry into the male psyche. You are able to see how they view relationships and why they sometimes appear to be committment phobic.
