5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and fun to read, December 7, 2010
This review is from: Where is My House? (Hardcover)
I enjoy reading this vibrantly colored flap book with my one-year-old because I like getting to do different voices for each of the animals. "Where is My House?" is simply written with a different character on each page saying the same two phrases (eg. "Where is my house?" *flip* "Here is my ___."; eg. donkey = shed, rabbit = hutch, etc.) There are six animals and a little girl whose homes you reveal by flipping the flap, which is essentially just a thinner page glued into the book, so it's not much different from just turning the page. However, I think the simple design of the flap makes this book more durable than most other "peek-a-boo" books. When you flip the flap the animals also change expressions from somber/neutral to happy/alert. It may be very simple, but it is perfect for reading with little ones, and you can read it with a lot of gusto!
