GREAT!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Where the Sun Never Sets (Audio CD)
This is ten times better than 'Here We Are', which was a bit weak. Maybe that was cuz Mark Unseen had left. Oh, well. This record proves that they really don't need him to sound good. Yeah, this is different. It sounds more like an old school punk record, but that's what I love so much about it. It reminds me of Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, Subhumans...stuff like that. I love it!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! (PS: I'm older than thirteen.)

alright. first off, this is different than their previous records. that's been said in other reviews. but i think it's the best record yet. here we are, in the red, and earache are my favorite punk albums i own. and of course until we die makes me wanna go break stuff every time i listen to it. w.t.f.w.c. is good street punk, but this...oh man. it's incredible. the bass has a metally distorted sound that is awesome and unique. and the drums alone a make it worth the money for the album. mike graves is a drumming god. the guitar riffs and solo's are 100% original and unlike anything else. bryan's voice on this album is awesome. he doesn't just scream, he growls and shouts and the lyrics are poetic, cynical, and amazingly intelligent. it's my favorite album ever, reminiscent of 80's hardcore but with an extra edge. so, if you didn't like this, get your dad's shotgun out of the closet. put the barrell in your mouth, and pull the trigger with your toe. (get in the coffin, man)

todolosdolores; they got better. I remember being a 14-year-old brat sneaking into the Starwood to hear X. This was right after they released "Los Angeles." After the show, SO many people were talking about how X had sold out, had been watered-down, etc. For a comparison, also see the Dylan documetary Scorcese did. Same thing; as soon as he did something even slightly different/new/innovative, he got torn apart by "traditionalists." Henry Rollins said it best when he commented that punk fans are the most inflexible people on earth. AGT remains the best of its genre. New doesn't equal bad or watered down my friend. God bless 'em. If punk doesn't evolve, it dies. And that, in the words of my dead friend Darby Crash, would "blaaahbfhjty."
