5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!
This is ten times better than 'Here We Are', which was a bit weak. Maybe that was cuz Mark Unseen had left. Oh, well. This record proves that they really don't need him to sound good. Yeah, this is different. It sounds more like an old school punk record, but that's what I love so much about it. It reminds me of Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, Subhumans...stuff like...

1.0 out of 5 stars I AGREE
I agree with the reviewer that said it was terrible. This is their worst release ever. It kind of broke my heart. I was hoping for another classic with songs like "In the Red" "Work or War" and "The Kids Will Revolt" but no!!! This is horrible. Get any other release but this one.

alright. first off, this is different than their previous records. that's been said in other reviews. but i think it's the best record yet. here we are, in the red, and earache are my favorite punk albums i own. and of course until we die makes me wanna go break stuff every time i listen to it. w.t.f.w.c. is good street punk, but this...oh man. it's incredible. the bass has a metally distorted sound that is awesome and unique. and the drums alone a make it worth the money for the album. mike graves is a drumming god. the guitar riffs and solo's are 100% original and unlike anything else. bryan's voice on this album is awesome. he doesn't just scream, he growls and shouts and the lyrics are poetic, cynical, and amazingly intelligent. it's my favorite album ever, reminiscent of 80's hardcore but with an extra edge. so, if you didn't like this, get your dad's shotgun out of the closet. put the barrell in your mouth, and pull the trigger with your toe. (get in the coffin, man)

5.0 out of 5 stars Here's what happened to A Global Threat..., June 23, 2006

todolosdolores; they got better. I remember being a 14-year-old brat sneaking into the Starwood to hear X. This was right after they released "Los Angeles." After the show, SO many people were talking about how X had sold out, had been watered-down, etc. For a comparison, also see the Dylan documetary Scorcese did. Same thing; as soon as he did something even slightly different/new/innovative, he got torn apart by "traditionalists." Henry Rollins said it best when he commented that punk fans are the most inflexible people on earth. AGT remains the best of its genre. New doesn't equal bad or watered down my friend. God bless 'em. If punk doesn't evolve, it dies. And that, in the words of my dead friend Darby Crash, would "blaaahbfhjty."

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty damn good., March 7, 2006
This review is from: Where the Sun Never Sets (Audio CD)
Well, I'm not a punk, but punk rock happens to be a music genre that I really seem to enjoy listening to. So, one of my friends suggested this band to me. I bought this album, and fell in love with it immediately. Like the reviewer below said, this is a little bit like an old-school punk record, only a little faster. The songs on here are powerful, speedy, and loud. Basically, punk rock through and through. Yeah, there are a couple slower songs on here, like 'Cut-Ups', but they do the slower songs very well and they don't sound boring or anything, so that's fine. I think my favorite song on here would be 'Some Nerve'. It's just awesome. The song that I really don't like on here is 'Scalped By Pop', because it's your stereotypical 'punk-is-being-killed-by-pop-rock-bands' type of song and I've just heard it millions of times before. There were punk songs like that in the mid 90's, for cryin' out loud. Oh well. Atleast they don't overdo the 'We're punks' thing, like The Casualties, who I hate with every fiber of my being. So yeah. If you are a punk, or if you're like me and you just like the punk rock genre, this is a pretty cool album and I would suggest picking it up. I'm definately gonna get all their other albums. This band is so awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing album., August 14, 2006
This review is from: Where the Sun Never Sets (Audio CD)
This is an awesome album. Its very unique for AGT and i love it. My favorite songs are AGT crew,Keep dancing (spoken word),stuck in a skull, the running man and etc. It has some great guitar work to it; great riffs and bass lines. This is also lyrically intelligent. This isnt some old OI OI OI stuff which I dont have a problom with...I this has great lyrics too. So if you have heard or have not heard A Global Threat...pick this up. I also reccomend by them, Until we die, What the fu*k will change and there EPs. Im not really much of a fan of Here we are but thats just me so pick it up if you want. It has more of a darker tone. But this is great and listen to the clips to sample some of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Different, but not bad., August 10, 2006
This review is from: Where the Sun Never Sets (Audio CD)
When i first listened to this album my first thought was "This is not the same AGT." but i realized after hearing one more song that just because it is different, doesn't mean it is bad. The album isn't as fast or energetic as previous records, but it's just new. A Global Threat knew that thier fans would either love, or hate the new material and they wrote a song about it, The First track "AGT Crew".

I agree with the reviewer below me. Different doesn't mean bad.

AGT Crew
We don't need anything from you
and we've got nothing left to prove
AGT we see through
we want our part in someting new
something pure, something true
AGT we see through
Left bloodied, bruised and feeling used
The beat might seem of cue but it's from the heart.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but absolutely their worst., May 6, 2006
This review is from: Where the Sun Never Sets (Audio CD)
What the hell has happened to AGT? Why, oh, why does this album sound watered down? There was once a day when I blasted "Religion is a Scam" in my car so loud it hurt. I hoped upon hope that AGT would deliver and give me yet another reason to believe that they are the best band in the scene. Sadly, I have been let down. It lacks the energy of previous albums for obvious reasons. Perhaps they will regain my trust with the next recording. I must believe so, or I would instantly break into tears. Please, AGT, please reclaim your throne in the court of street punk.
