4.0 out of 5 stars A Missed Opportunity, March 25, 2007
This review is from: Where to Now (Audio CD)
This album is the closest thing in music to a "cult movie." It is known by very few, but highly prized by her fans. Since no CD was ever made available, old and scratched LP's were sold and traded and bootleg CD's (made the the scratchy vinyl with all the pops, hiss and hum) were copied for friends.

But her fan base is so small and select, even illegal mp3's were rarely found on the web.

It is a shame that this reissue didn't include any supplimental material or bonus tracks. If anyone actually remembers the hit "Pilot of the Airways" they will be disappointed because the album version is very different from the single that played on the radio. The should have at least added the single version.

I wish real audiophile label had released the reissue. Compared to the wonderful reissues of artists like Chad & Jeremy Of Cabbages & Kings, Harper's Bizarre Anything Goes or The Free Design You Could Be Born Again, this is a disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Missed Opportunity Yes but ..., June 27, 2007

Yes, it may have been a missed opportunity but somehow I get the feeling that nothing extra was ever recorded for this album - or if there was, it was probably discarded in the excess and carelessness of the Seventies - more importantly, we do get to hear one of the most beautiful voices God has ever graced us with, finally on CD. I was pleasantly surprised when I bought the original album becoz there aren't very many weak songs on it. Maybe a better idea would've been to take the best songs off her next album, "Listen!" and filled out this CD with them - I, for one, am overjoyed to finally hear this beautiful voice on CD.

Pilot of the Airwave

Here is my request

You don't have to play but I hope you do with it

I've been listening to the show on the radio

and you seem like a friend to me...

how fantastic it is!

I heard this tune 30 years ago from radio, and I loved this sweet voice

now, I have the CD

the music type is kinda familiar.....from another favorite singer, KT Tunstall, esp "Eye of the Telescope"

the 4th track, "Where to Now", resembles the first track, and I like it also

Sad Old World, Sleepless, Wise Owl, Sweetheart are good too

even you never heard of her, you should get it if you like KT Tunstall
