Where, Oh Where, Is Kipper's Bear?: A Pop-Up Book with Light!

Kipper is looking for his teddy bear. Is it in the apple tree? No! Birds come flying out instead. Thus begins our odyssey into Kipper's world -- populated with mice, pigs and moon people (among others). Pop-ups are activated by lifting flaps and manipulating tabs. The latter may be difficult for young children, but they will most likely enjoy the action anyway.

The little surprise at the end is charming and sure to bring a smile to your little one's face.

Exceptionally well done.

Caveats: A few of the flaps are flimsy, so be careful if your child is rough on them. Kipper's usual friends (Pig, Arnold and Tiger) do not show up in the story.

From the moment he received it, my twenty month old son has loved it. In fact, I plan on buying a second copy for him to keep. He has read and read this book to the point that the pages are rumpled and the tabs are bent. He loves to point out the cat, birds, and other objects as we read it together. He also enjoys looking at it himself when I am busy. I recommend it all the way!

The title " A Pop-Up Book With Light " interest me in buying this book. I always like to look at children's book, because they're so innocent and simple. When I check it out myself, I found the illustration very funny and the ending is surprising. So I read it to my 10 months-old son and he wanted me to open the book again and again. He never did that with any other books. He seemed to be amused with the story and the pop-up pictures. My son and I really enjoy this book, and I want to hold on to it for my future kids to read. I just wish Mick Inkpen would create more of this type of book in the future...

I have 2o month old twin boys and when I get this book out, they both are so excited. Each page is filled with"sing- songy" words that have such a nice sound. And each has a suprise under a flap.The ending is so nice also. I would highly recommend this book.

My 16 month old neice saw it at a friend's house and LOVED it. She now has her own copy and enjoys the surprise ending every time she reads it. A wonderful book for all ages

My 2 year old loves this book. I don't let him look at it by himself as I fear it would not last, but he wants it read to him several times a week (and he has about 100 books)! I let him operate many of the flaps now that it is a little broken in and he thinks they are hillarious. The little flashlight at the end of the book keeps him guessing. We always turn out the light and he puts his finger over the flashlight to make his finger light up. It is a lot of fun to read, especially if you like the kipper cartoon series. Nice and gentle bed time reading too, not too stimulating. One of the very best of the kipper book series.

This is such a sweet, lovely book- the illustrations are wonderful, easy on young eyes, but still interesting and colorful... and the book is beautifully designed. My 16 month old daughter loves to pull the tabs to make the loveable characters appear. A first rate, imaginiative and elegant book.

My 20 months old son just love this book! It's so interactive. He loves to play peek a boo with Kipper. Best of all he looks forward to the end of the book to see the bear's flashlight

Of the thousands of childrens books I've collected over 20 years, I would rank this charming book in the top 20...probably top 10 for the 0-4 age group. It was a favorite of my son's for about 2 years and the wear the book shows illustrates that. I have memorized every page, and never tired of reading it. It is constructed with heavy pages that hold up much better than the average (non board) book. There are just the right amount of words on each page to hold the child's interest. The interaction of each page involves your child and will keep them on the edge of their seat/bed with anticipation and excitement with every read! It is among the very best of interactive books for young children. You won't be disappointed !! I am buying 3 more for each of my children's children, since you never know about re-printing in the future...and it's definitely a book to enjoy forever.

My mom bought this book for my son when he was about 18 months old. It was one of his favorites until he was about 4 years old. It's probably too young for ages over 5. But for under 5 it is the cutest book I've seen. The pictures are great. It is very interactive with awesome pop-ups. And the ending is just so unique. I highly recommend this book. My 3 year old loves it now. I'm online right now to buy a copy for my niece/nephew-to-be.
