I normally am not a fan of Urban literature, but this book captures your attention from start to finish. I could not put it down. You can truly feel what the characters are going through. It was well written and we all seem to have or have known people in our lives similar to those in the book. You won't be disappointed. I am surprised that Oprah hasn't featured this writer yet in her book club!

AS this story unfolds,, you can slowly form in your mind the visuals of each girl. If you yourself are from the innercity or projects you can even se the characteristics of the characters of people you know. You feel connected to the story and slowly you are lulled in its trance. There are moments within the story that you can see where the next line or action will flow, however you cant put the book down. The charcters become a part of you and you long to return to the book to be a part of their lives once more. In two days you are finished and yaarning for the next phase....where secrets lie, will make you rethink evry secret you'e told and the ones YOU think nobody knows!! Get this book, it is worth reading!!!

Very good for a amatuer writer. I hope that this won't be the last that we here from her. I look forward to furture purchases of her work. Stay true to yourself and to the game.

I loved this book! I am a mother of two energetic boys & I rarely get to read books anymore. When I do, it takes a while to complete them. However, I could not put this book down! I finished the book in two days. It is a page-turner! I have & will continue to recommend this book. Great Work for a first time author! I am looking forward to reading the next one.

I am a fan of Urban literature and this book was one of the best, if not THE best book that I've read. It captures your attention from start to finish as it takes you from the streets of Brooklyn to the suburbs of Long Island.

This book was fabulously written and I am amazed that Mahogany Star is a first time author. Great Job!! I wish you continued success.

"Where Secrets Lie" is a intriguing page turner that will have you up all night wondering what is going to happen next, until you can't take it anymore and just turn the light back on and continue this great read! We love you Mahogany Star! Waiting for the next one...

I am not a lover of non-fiction nor am I a love of Urban Novels... When I read, "Where Secrets Lie," by Mohogany Star I was captivated by the plots, drama, dilemmas, and emotional turmoil that the characters in the book faced. The book was given to me by my sister as a gift. At first I wasn't really interested but since it was given by my sister I knew I had to read it... because I didn't want her to ask me questions about the book and I wasn't able answer them. As I read past the first three chapters my adrenaline and curiosity started rising. My fingers were glued to the pages, my mind could not think past the book, and I was compelled to finish each page within the cover. The contents of pregnacy, deceit, lies, killing, cheating, good sex, and love were all a composition of life and reality. Even though it was fiction, I reasoned with the content as reality. The organization and storyline within the book was well put together and I would definitely recommend the book to friends. As a matter of fact, I bought 10 copies as gifts for Christmas to give to my closest friends and co-workers.
