I would recommend this book for very young children only. It seems a little too young for my 2 year old...there isn't really a story to it and it contains very little.

Where Shabbat Lives,

Here is another harmless board book for little hands to hold and for little heads to hopefully hold the ideas communicated. Through poetic language and repetition of the main idea, the book nicely explains that "Shabbat" lives everywhere: at the Sabbath table, at the synagogue observance, in the home and out in the world. Pleasant pictures capture the symbols of the holiday and the customs of the people who celebrate it with family and friends. This book is fine for children 2 to 4 years old who use books hard and often rip regular paper pages in their zeal for "reading". Reviewed by Ellen Cole

This is a nice little board book with bright, simple illustrations and basic text, explaining to pre-preschoolers the essential idea that the joyous Day of Rest exists in everything we do and everything we use to celebrate it. This is a great book to introduce very young Jewish children to the idea and the doings of Shabbat.
