We honestly believe that Where to Ski and Snowboard is the best in the business. I edited our main British rival, The Good Skiing Guide, for seven years before starting this one, and our editorial standards are as high now as they were back then. Where we have the real edge over that book and all our rivals is in presentation, with full-color trail maps, scale village plans and carefully chosen informative photos of all major resorts.
The book is really aimed at the skier who wants to pick and choose among world-class resorts. For the reader based in Chicago or Munich who wants to know which of the local hills to head for, there are doubtless better guides produced locally. But if you want to know how Breckenridge stacks up against Chamonix, this is the book for you.
