The CD contained a bonus song "Angels Came Down". All songs were terrific. Enjoying every one. Would highly recommend this CD.

This album was bought with the goal of getting the music to The Southern Rain (the Angels Came Down) The album itself is middle of the road good with several songs that are easy to listen to. Costner is a good vocalist and the arrangements are quite good. A good comfortable listen.

Here is an example of a band who really knows how to play good music. This is the 3rd CD I have recently purchased from KC and MW. They all have the same great warm southern feel to it, without being too "twangy". Kevin's voice is awesome, and the Modern West band is very talented. I love the violin playing! I would recommend this to anyone who loves country or easy listening music.

Sometimes, either out of love or mercy, someone has passed an album on to me, and with that explicit gesture they've forever become linked to the music, making them part of my life for all of time. And so it is with From Where I Stand, by Kevin Costner & Modern West, where the song "Indian Summer" caused me to consider the illusive question of "what if." What if times were different? What if latitudes and longitudes meshed? What if I let go of who I am and became someone else's?

Grand dreams find their way to the light of day in wonderful songs when you least expect them to. And as I sit here considering things that will never be, I delight in the joy of the dream and the power of verse to swell up inside of my heart, where for these few short moments I'm allowed to be someone else, somewhere else, dancing barefoot in the headlights of an old Ford on a dark star lit dirt road, to a country station turned down low, arms wrapped around the neck of a lover I've yet to meet.

This is a stunningly fine album, one well worth your consideration, now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta' meet someone out on the desert, right there on the horizon, where the end of the night meets the dawn.

Not as upbeat as his "first" album, "Untold Truths," which was five stars, but still a good album. Actually a little bit TOO mellow.

Was pleased with the style. Easy, yet with great beat. I love the first and the last songs especially. First time I heard Kevin sing, and I do like his voice. Already a fan of his movies. Just added to my admiration and respect for his talent.

I am amazed at this band lead by Kevin Costner. This music is popular in Europe but not heard of in the United States, which is a shame. They are a first rate band and deserve an audience and fans from their own country.

Who would have thought that Kevin Costner could sing. He is great. I don't buy many CDs anymore but I am so glad I bought this one. Every song on this is great. He might not be the best actor out there, but he is a darn fine singer.
