5.0 out of 5 stars God Bless America and Aaron Tippin
'Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly' conveys a powerful and positive message about America. This song touches the very soul of this great country. It creates such a sense of pride in America, the best country on earth. 1.0 out of 5 stars Fly this!
Both this song and the ethnocentric sentiment that has overcome the United States is offensive to human consciousness. We are played the fool by the capitalist system that is taking advantage of the post Sep. 11 catastrophe. 'Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly' conveys a powerful and positive message about America. This song touches the very soul of this great country. It creates such a sense of pride in America, the best country on earth. Of all the new patriotic songs recently released, Aaron Tippin's 'Where The Stars And The Stripes And The Eagle Fly' says it best. We are all America; our diversity is our strength.

The CD also includes a second single, a dynamite remake of one of Aaron's earliest hits and one of my personal favorites, 'You've Got To Stand For Something.' Aaron performed that song with the Bob Hope USO Tour for our troops during the Gulf War.

Definitely one of Aaron Tippin's best. Buy the CD single; you won't regret it. And remember, the net proceeds go to help the victims and their families so devastated by the tragedy on 11 September. How terrific, Americans helping Americans!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOAH! WELCOME TO THE SOUNDS OF "NEW" AMERICA!, December 4, 2001

This is no doubt the best song that I've heard that have come out in response to the September 11th attacks. Tippin adds his strong voice to what will surely become an anthem for America. It will stand the test of time, as surely songs like Live's "Overcome," Paul McCartney's "Freedom," and the brand new version of "God Bless the U.S.A." by Christian band Jump5 will. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for not only giving me the gift of life and Eternal Salvation, but giving me the privilege of being born in this God-blessed country. Let us move forward, and move on to triumphant victory in the new war on terrorism. Buy the single, and be proud that you've been blessed by God to live in America. Grade: A+

5.0 out of 5 stars Regarding "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly", February 3, 2002
By A Customer

This song is indicative of the growing patriotic sentiment in the U.S., and I for one appreciate Aaron Tippin and others like him for songs like this. It's unfortunate that it took a tragedy to remind Americans of how lucky they truly are, but better late than never... To the author of "Fly This"--I think I speak for most people when I say that we are tired of self-proclaimed intellectuals like you that don't realize how lucky you are. Either get with the program or leave.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stirring, patriotic country classic!, November 7, 2001

I rarely if ever rush out to buy singles, instead choosing to wait for them to appear on albums. However, I simply could not wait to own this amazing song, so I bought it right away. Although a "contemporary" country singer, Aaron Tippin has always maintained a traditional flavor in most of his songs, which I very much appreciate. This song is a good example.

"Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagly Fly" could, I think, become a country classic: it is patriotic (but not cheesy), has a stirring and catchy melody, and has very timely (yet timeless also) lyrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Stars and Stripes" Proud to be American, October 11, 2001
This review is from: Where the Stars & Stripes & The Eagle Fly (Audio CD)
What a magnificent song to portray the emotions of all Americans today. A message of inspiration to stand steady for what we believe in. Aaron Tippin is the heart of country music (American music) and that is quite evident in the lyrics he wrote and the delivery of his message. He never ceases to amaze me.

As a Black person I don't normally hang out at "country music land". But I happened to catch this song and THIS SONG ROCKS!
He's singing about the nation but from a person by person point of view.
With this song Aaron is "Keepin' it real". Unlike other patriotic songs he's admitting we have Issues as a nation but we're still second to none. I'm cast my vote for a new anthem.
P.S. This one is easier to sing and doesn't exclude anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars THANK GOD FOR AMERICA, November 13, 2001

My thoughts of the song especialy after the Twin Towers incident are Thank God for America and Arron really puts it where it is. Our stars and stripes might not mean very much to some people but if you"ve served this USA and then you really under stand what they are really for. The eagle our national bird has a history that no other bird has ever had. Read up on the great bald eagle and see what I am talking about. It has eyes that are beyond imiganation in the way God made them and their living habits are something that no other bird has. I say again ,God Bless America.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aaron Tippin's Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly, January 30, 2002
This review is from: Where the Stars & Stripes & The Eagle Fly (Audio CD)
The other reviewers have mostly done an excellent job. Aaron Tippin, like Alan Jackson (whom I also reviewed), replied to the September 11 terror with what he does best, Country Music. This one has the beat and the words that bring back the best of traditional Country but also the best of modern times and our response to indiscriminate terror. Some young people think that it's *cool* to praise New Yorkers for their courage but not to sing or dance or whistle or hum to people like Aaron and Alan whose souls express themselves in music in reacting to September 11. They probably never heard Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, Mary Chapin Carpenter (in her Saturday Night at the Twist and Shout), or for that matter Beethoven who was blind and deaf but wrote the world's greatest music in the face of the dictator Napoleon (whom he told off and was spared because of his courage). Country Music is the Modern version of the old Classical Music - the old Creative Geniuses Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn, Chopin, Vivaldi, Verdi, Strauss, etc.

Tippin tells it like it is. He tells the good parts of America the way he experiences them. Yes, loving your wife and your nation and your dreams and your flag can be very *cool*. Try it, you'll like it!

Both this song and the ethnocentric sentiment that has overcome the United States is offensive to human consciousness. We are played the fool by the capitalist system that is taking advantage of the post Sep. 11 catastrophe. Tippin's song exemplifies the sad state of affairs that U.S. culture has become and he and his sorry tune hide behind a paper flag, only to be disassembled when the media focuses on another event. This music is only about money and we, as true Americans, should be disgusted at this pathetic attempt to pass patriotism past us. Stand behind the flag, for it guides you. Tippin allows the flag to be his backdrop, demonstrating both his pomposity and lack of courage.
