Book Description

May 12, 2000
More auto racing has taken place in Southern California than any other equal-area place in the world. Where They Raced - LAP2 provides details and descriptions of over 170 racing venues from Ventura to Bakersfield, Beverly Hills to Riverside, and Mission Bay to El Cajon.

Where They Raced was the first book dedicated to auto racing venues in Los Angeles. LAP2 brings all of the original work together with new information about dozens of additional retired venues, drag racing, and five new speedways. Expanding the scope to include Ventura, Kern, and San Diego Counties makes this a truly Southern California effort.

Wonderful publication for anyone who wants to recall or learn about auto racing in Los Angeles during the sport's heyday. Great pictures and pretty complete text. Brings back a whole slew of fond memories.
