This new cd from donnelll is the best to drop from him in a while. This is 3 times better than the first. Every song flows into the next as if they were all one....but they all have a different sound too. It's a good mix of live sounds with studio beats. U might as well press repeat when u play this because some of the beats and harmonies here will have u sining along from start to finish. Left eye is the only guest here and thats enough. Sometimes all u want to hear is the artist whose name is on the cd. No one else. For his sophmore cd, he came strong. No slump here. After U read this,....I think you might want to get to the nearest store and Get this!..(or just order online).

I have this CD and the one that came out afterwards and I must say this is still my all time favorite. Donnell Jones has a very nice voice there is a nice variety on this CD Ballads, Dance tunes and just plain "chillin" music. A nice CD to just have playing as background music if you have family over, good use of the individual instruments in at least 3 of the songs on the CD. Overall a REALLY great buy.
If you like his style of music I would also suggest Case, Joe and even Jon B. Respectfully Reviewed

At the 2000 American Music Awards, a certain someone won an award for Best Male R&B Artist...that someone was Donell Jones. After that a lot of people were like, WHO? Donell was very deserving for the award, because Where I Wanna Be is one of the best things I've ever heard. He was really on top of his game with the first single "U Know What's Up". It's so simple, but so catchy. Then he followed up with the best song on the album, the title track. Here is where he ponders whether or not he wants a relationship. It may not sound like much on paper, but you have to hear the way he says it. Other gems on the album are the funky "This Luv" (which was also released, but few people knew about it), "It's Alright" and "When I Was Down". "Have You Seen Her" reminds us of those times when we caught a glimpse of an attractive person real fast and never saw them again, and "Pushin'" drives the point home that there's a difference between being loved and being smothered. It's a little hard to tell where he's going in the skit at the end of "Think About It", but you know where this ALBUM should be going? Straight into your CD player.
