This book should have been title All about Eli. This was all about Eli and what he wanted. A man who wanted to go out and play. This man who wanted to get married to Faith at an early age, later complain about being with the same woman for years. His first love comes to town and he wants to sleep with her and she wants to sleep with him. They pretend a little bit that they have respect for his marriage but continue to tease each other. He just leave his wife when she finds out even though she is willing to work on their marriage if he will not see the other woman again. Yes he leaves and go straight to the other woman and have sex with protection and they are feeling good because they finally get to have sex over and over again. He thinks nothing of his wife when he having sex without protection. Simone thinks she has her Eli and the world is perfect. But when Eli is done on the playground with Simone and see that someone is wanting his family he is ready to go back home but not before he sex Simone, one for the road. I really did not like this man and wish Faith would have given Darren a chance. I feel that Eli is a selfish person. Darren seems to have experience the life and could appreciate a good woman in his life. I gave this book two stars because I finished it but did not enjoy it. This is only my opinion. I give Ms. Roberts credit because she really made me feels this book not a good feeling.

Where I Wanna Be is the 3rd book in the D'Amato Bros series and it focuses on the breakdown of Eli and Faith's marriage. I was hoping for some kind of redemption, but instead this story played out like a bad soap opera.

***********spoilers ahead****************

I'm not sure if this was Ms. Roberts' intention but Eli & Simone's chemistry seemed to be a bit stronger than Eli & Faith's. But, that could be because we had scene after scene of Eli making love to Simone. Unbelievable, I know! Isn't this supposed to be a love story? But, for a love story you need an H and Eli definitely doesn't make the grade.

What can I say about this leading man? He is a narcisstic, manipulative, self-indulgent, weak a*s H. A man, who when asked to make a choice between the past and his present, walks out on his wife and child for the flimsiest of excuses, with no hesitation, and no remorse for a piece of old school a*s. Not only does he tell both women that he loves them, but he fails to use protection with his wife and his mistress. He sleeps with Simone one last time after breaking up with her to go back to his wife! Does this sound like a man who realizes that he loves his wife and needs her back? Throughout the book, we see the other D'Amato brothers telling Eli that he still loves Faith, but his actions prove otherwise.

Then, there is Faith! I think Ms. Roberts attempted to make her appear childish and selfish and partially at fault for Eli's choices. But that's pure Bs! Yes, Faith contributed to the state of her marriage but that doesn't give a man an out for cheating. Faith is not responsible for Eli's choice to flirt with Simone, tell her his personal business, and ultimately sleep with her.

Let me start by saying that I did and do love this series but this story was not a romance and quite frankly the ending left me thinking what? I get that this is a story of redemption. But, I don't know I got the feeling that Eli and Simone had better chemistry than he did with his own wife. Then the ending? I wont give it away but I was led to believe that Eli and Simone still had something going on. I get that the author wanted to show something different and relationships are not what they seem and are a lot of hard work. I don't know if all she was trying to convey translated in this book well. I enjoy this authors work this story was just not for me. Again this is just my opinion and readers should try the story for themselves.

I've never read this author before and I tried to read the books in order, but I finally decided to just get to the "controversial" one.

This review contains "SPOILERS."

Many people have already said what you need to know about this book: It's not a romance. It's about a man who cheated for seemingly no other reason than he was bored and his ex-girlfriend came back looking good.

The book starts out great. At first, I was rooting for Simone/Eli because you get to see Simone at the beginning of the book and she's awesome. Their story is awesome. That's why I'm giving it two stars. The past scenes are good, esp. between Simone/Eli.

But then we get to the present and we get to Eli, who honestly, is the biggest douchebag character I've ever read. Forget Mafia characters who love their heroines (because you sense the love) and are douchey on occasion, Eli was just...I had a good deal of WTF moments with this character.

First, Eli and his wife have a GREAT SEX LIFE! There's nothing lacking there. She lets him do any and everything to do her body (once they aren't fighting which should be a nonissue). Who wants a man in them when you're mad at him? I digress...

Second, Eli loves his life and wife up until Simone walks back into his life and he instantly sees how good she looks and wants inside. Okay. At first, he uses his wife to appease him for Simone, but no, that's not enough so after a stupid fight, where Faith locks him out, he goes to Simone and has sex with her. Great.

Third, Eli is a douchebag to Simone. It's not like he left his wife because she was 2nd to Simone. This is a storyline I could have jumped on. I mean, if he cheated on his wife because he never truly got over Simone...and she's the love of his life...
