A thoughtful book!,
By Armchair Interviews (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Where You Go, I Shall: Gleanings from the Stories of Biblical Widows (Paperback)
Two widows and an Episcopal priest were led, through their experiences with a support group for widows, to write Where You Go, I Shall: Gleanings from the Stories of Biblical Widows.
Through Biblical stories of widows like Naomi, Ruth, Abigail, Anna, Tamar, Judith and Mary as well as the unnamed, readers are introduced to and are invited to reflect on the real issues that daily face widows in our society. The authors share their personal experiences with widowhood with the desire to provide understanding and comfort to widows and those who love them. Each chapter contains a thought-provoking prayer and meditation section for widows and all other people impacted by the death. Armchair Interviews says: Where You Go, I Shall is a thoughtful gift that would be welcomed for all affected by the loss of their husbands. |
