The King of Jello Pudding* is well known for his love of Jazz, and this is one of several albums (but among the few that are available) of Cosby composed jazz tunes. I'm not even a fan of modern jjazz, but I really like this. Sometime around 1990, I was channel surfing and came across the Jello icon* conducting and shouting instructions to a jazz band playing some really smoking stuff! This was what was being played. Yes, this is modern jazz, but accesible to the casual listener and goes down quite well. This is good to put in your CD player for a nice drive down a scenic highway as the sun goes down.Let's see YOU do a jazz album, Michael Eric Dyson! *To those born after 1980, this cultural reference deals with Bill Cosby's popular commericals for Jello pudding in the late 70s and early 80s. |
