5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC DEBUT, November 8, 2002
This review is from: Where You at (Audio CD)
Amanda Perez, a 21 year old mexican female with the voice of an angel and the rhymes of a diva. "Where You At?" is a fantastic debut. On this album she shows you that she is extremely talented, along the lines of people who have been in this buisness for years. Amanda wrote, produced, arranged, rapped & Vocally lead the entire album! Here's a rundown of all the tracks:

Intro - Clever, it made me laugh
Where You At? (rap) - this song is good! She disses the people that denied her musical talent [****]
I Like It (sing) - Playful song. She's tellin her man how she likes the way he.... just check out the song [****]
Whoa! (rap) - This song is tight! She finds her man cheatin & creapin wit a hoe. [****]
Never (sing) - Slow ballad. Very nice, most of you females can relate to this track [**** 1/2]
No More (sing/rap) - up-tempo song, She ain't takin his mess no more! [****]
Get 'Em Hype (rap) - The BEST rap song on the album. This song is off da hook. She's raw as hell on this song. Tight beat, It's a must hear [*****]
Angel (sing) - Another female felt slow ballad. She is so versatile that it ain't even funny! [**** 1/2]
Your Body Is Mine (sing) - Just as the title suggests, cool song [*** 1/2]
Too Tee Zee (rap) - another tight song. She lets you know who she is on this one [****]
I Still Love You (sing) - Amazing slow-song, the best singing song on the album. This is the song she shows her vocal power on. So addictive [*****]
In My Life (sing/rap) - Another tight beat, up-tempo, she's tellin her man that she needs him in her life [****1/2]
Love Is Pain - "Why does love have to be so much pain", very nice track, so true. [****1/2]

So in review, this album is a great debut! Only a couple of songs seem like they are missing something, but besides that, it is PERFECT.I graded this Album on a debut level so it gets 4.5 stars! Great job Amanda, continue being off da hook and you will prosper.

This young lady is very talented. This cd is off the chain. If you like bass and good beats, this is the cd for you. She is the total package. She writes and produces all the songs. This is a must have cd.
